The last term

In the last term, I had three responsabilities at the university. The first was my seminary of grade, the second was my practice and the third was the English 3 course.

My seminary was “The relation ship between the political parties and the unionized workers”. This topic is very interesting for me, because contains a topic a bit forgotten for the Sociology of Work: the political role of the syndicalisem. About my practice, I can relate that I worked in the “Fundacion Sol”. This foundation is a labor studies center. I liked worked in this place, because I love the labor topics. Finally, I studied English 3 with the teacher Belén Farias. The course was very entretenido, and the teacher is very very nice J

About my family, the last term was also a time changes, because, we can buying a new home. Before, we lived in the district of Conchali, now live in Quilicura. I like Quilicura, but I missed Conchali L , because I lived for 14 years in this district.

The conclusión of the last term, is that these term was very important in the academic topic. The most memorable momento was when I finish my practice. In the foundation made us a nice farewell to those who did practice last term.

My experience in the blog

I created my first blog in the class of English 3 the last year. I don´t understand nothing of this language, and I not has time for study English, so I decided to leave the class. Is for this reason that my first blog was forgotten, and I only wrote a few post.
In this year, I had to retake the class of English, and I have not the possibility of leaving. In this class, I created my second blog. This blog is called “Jenningles”, and I have that write every week in its.

I usually use for write in my blog the “Google Translator” and the page “wordreference.com”. This page are a big help for me, I alone could not have written anything! . The topics of my blog are different: “My First Blog”, “The Earthquake”, “My Dogs”, “Pierre Boudeau”, “ My Family”, “ My favorite piece of technology”, “Dragon Ball”, “ My Seminary” and “The San Francisco’s Church in Chiloe”. I wrote about this topics, because write post in my blog is a activity in the class.

I don´t like much the English, but I like write in the blog, because is a fun way to learn this language. Also , I can know more to my class mate, because , I have that read their post and make some comments. With this exercises, I have learned a little more.

In my opinion, the use of the blog, and the other tools for learned is very important when it comes to language teaching, because is a different form of learning. I think that when I use the blog, I do nearest the language, is a more familiar for me.

Also, is very important for learn more , write every week in the blog, because the practice must be constant , and the practice make the master!

In English 4, I would like to continue working in my blog!

The San Francisco's Church in Chiloe

This image is the San Francisco's Church. This Church is in Castro, Chiloe. I don`t know who took this picture, nor know the date it was taken, because I found in the Internet, and there are many images with this church. I have photography in the San Francisco’s Church. This photo was taken by a friend in the holiday at 2009. In that summer, I knew the south of Chile to the Big Isla of Chiloé, even though I do not have much money.

In the photo we can see the grand work of arquitecture that is this church. This church was made only wood. Also, who built it no used any nails in the construction of the Church! This is very interesting because show a different form that build. The wood was joined with dowels. This shows very very work in the build of the Church, although for those years there wasn´t the technology of today.

I like this photo because I remember my vacations in Chiloe. I saw this church in the night, and is very beautiful in the summer night, because it have a magic atmosphere than is surrounding the principal's place of the city.

The photo reflects the dedication with which was built this church. The San Francisco’s Church together with the other churches of the island are unique in the world. Possibly, this was a reason by which all church of Chiloé are considered Humanity`s Patrimony. Is for this motive that is very important and necessary protect the monument, for this image not only a memory, and many people can enjoy every year. Although this church not only is a principal tourist attraction of Castro, but also the San Francisco´s Church represents part of the traditions and culture from Chiloe.

My seminary

The topic that I work in my seminary of grade is the relationship between the syndicate and the Political Parties in Chile. I think that this topic is a very important for the Sociology of Work, but has been shelved in the research about the syndicalism.

The relationship between the syndicate and the Political Parties can be studied from different perspectives. In my seminary the perspective of study revolves around the concept of identity. The concept of “Identity” is very complexity, because there are many definitions about the identity. In my seminary, the concept elected is similar to the Jorge Larraín, because he defines the identity that a process in which the people that recognizes itself around three axes: What I am? ; Do I have? And who are my similar?

Using these three questions, I research the identity of the workers, and I shall investigate what is their relationship from a subjective point of view, and I can study the phenomenon from a objective point of view, investigating the specific practices that have the workers witch the Political Parties, as the militancy, the program policy, the patronage, or the electoral support.
Well, I want work this idea, because I considerer that the study about the social movements that the syndicalism can contribute to understand the political action of the people in particular, and overcoat the Political Parties in Chile have been recently separated of the civil society, this is demonstrated in the low support the some movements which the traditional political parties and the creation of new organizations representing of the social demands.

DRAGON BALL

When I was a children, I watched “Dragon Ball”. Dragon Ball is a animated cartoon Japanese. In the history, the protagonist is a boy called “Gokú”. He is not earthling, he is saiyajin. Gokú had a monkey tail, and when he see the full moon, he becomes a huge gorilla!

The saga of Dragon Ball is very long, and has three parts: Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT. I watched all the chapters and I have some movies about the series. I liked this cartoon, because is very fantastic since Goku had always many adventures, many different planets wicked, and with his powers Goku killed them all. He was my hero!

I remember, when would take the final chapter of Dragon Ball GT in TV, I and my brother were anxious and very happy because we were finished watching the series, that afternoon it rained a lot and there was a thunder storm, that led to the light cut, and not and we could not see the chapter in that time! I was very sad, I had bad luck!

This happened a few years ago, then I saw that chapter. Today I like this series, when I have time, I see the Dragon Ball movies, and some chapters that I have in my house. The last years, I see the movie “Dragon Ball Evolution”, that apparently was based in the original history, but the movie is a offense for the fans , because the plot was not connected with the real story, and the characters did not have their original features, is really bad, a fraud!

My favorite piece of technology is my personal computer or notebook. I bought the computer in May of 2007. I bought with the money I earned in a summer job.

I love my computer because it is very useful for my studies in the University and for my Professional Practice, because in the place of my practice there are not computers. Also, I use my notebook for others activities that I like, as see DVDs, listen music, draw pictures and read texts.

My computer has very programs for the work ( word, excel, spss) and for the fun, for example, as a program to create movies. In this program I made a movie of my family je je je . In this movie, I used many old photograps of my family and put them on the move through the program. This is a great! Additionally, my computer catches the Internet signal to around my house. Thanks to this, I can a check my e-mail and access to cyberspace free.

My computer has never had big problems, just the last month I formation my PC for first. If I didn`t have my computer, I haven`t access to many information and diversion. I think what that would be very sad, because is a tool very necessary today. But, I could live without!.

My Family

My family is very big. My Grandmother and My Granpather had eighteen children, eight women and teen men. I have seventeen uncles! My mother is the daughter numbers thirteen, the number of the luck! And I have thirty cousins. They are all around Chile.

My mother is from Hualañe, a district from the Maule region. My father is from Santiago. They met in 1984, and they married in 1986. They have five children.

My eldest sister is call Carolina, she have twenty four years old. She study psychology in Valparaiso. Then I come, mi name is Jennifer, and I have twenty two years old. I Study Sociology. My first brother is call Felipe, he have seventeen years old, and he is in fourth grade in the high school. He want study History the next years. Mi other sister is call Melissa, she have five teen years old. She is in second grade in the high school. She is a rocker, She love the music, but, she want study biology. Finally, my little brother is call Vicente, he have teen years old. He is In fifth grade in the primary. He is my favorite brother!

We are many in my family. Is very difficult that we are all together, but never we left, because we are very close.
